In the worldranking list     Same in German

This database refers now to the january 2010 list of the FIDE.
It includes also players from the Ukraine which were missing in the first downloads. Carlsen is number one of the active players, the best rating is 2812 from Gary.
The number of players is now for the first time in history over 100.000. A bottle of champagne please.

Bobby is still missing...

The list goes now back to 1990 again.

You can create your own ranking lists by changing various conditions like age, title, sex, elo change and so on.

You can create useful lists and useless ones. Such like getting an answer to the following question: Who of the over 80 years old Russian played the most games during the last three months?

Or create a world ranking that is quite good for you. Maybe show the ten best Steffens in the World. Or you are just looking for very special opponents ;-).

The standard result gives you 10 players, you can change this up to 1000. But the number of players matching your result is always shown. You can use this to ask how many russian players there are or something similar. If you need more than 1000 results for a special query or two feel free to contact me.

New is the possibilty of getting the historical development since 1990 (thanks to Axel (schach.com) , Mark (TWIC), Norbert Friedrich and for a very big part starting in 1990 Rainer Niermann amd Matthias Berndt.) and the change of the position in the world ranking. Just use the link (1990-2004) behind a players name.
